As explained in the recent parent letter, we have had formal approval from our Chair of Governors to make a minor change to our INSET day schedule for the current academic year.

To facilitate necessary whole-staff training, we are swapping the originally planned May training day to an earlier date in November:

• New INSET Day (School closed to pupils): Monday 23rd November 2026

• Revised Teaching Day (School open as normal): Friday 28th May 2027

Why is this change being made?

Bringing this staff development forward allows our teaching and support staff to complete essential specialist training earlier in the school year. This ensures that the new skills, strategies, and insights gained during the session can be put into practice immediately to benefit our pupils throughout the remaining terms.

Key Dates Summary for Families

• Monday 23rd November 2026: School will be closed to all pupils for staff training.

• Friday 28th May 2027: School will now be open as normal for all pupils.

We appreciate that changes to the school calendar require families to adjust childcare and routines, and we hope that providing this notice well in advance helps with your planning.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding as we invest in ongoing professional development for our team.
