During the Scientists topic, Year 6 studied some of the work of Stephen Hawking.  They learnt that in 1974, Hawking proposed that black holes eventually evaporate by losing what’s now known as Hawking radiation.  They covered inflated balloons with aluminium foil to create their own black holes.
