Well done to these children for their awards this half term.
Singing with Mr Mannings
Year 5 are practising hard in preparation for their role as the choir for a LIPA performance of Joseph in May. They are working with Mr Mannings, the choir master at Liverpool Cathedral.
Ancient Greek Clay Pots
Some of Year 5 worked with Miss Harris on designing and making a Ancient Greek style clay pot.
Everton FC Visit
Year 5 were invited to Goodison Park as part of our affiliation as an Everton School Supporters’ Club. They worked with staff from Everton in the Community on teamwork and had a stadium tour.
World Book Day
Year 5 had a great time dressing up as their favourite book characters to celebrate World Book Day.
The Philharmonic Concert
Year 5 attended the ‘All our different voices’ concert at the Philharmonic Hall which celebrated how British values relate to music.
Science
Year 5 had a mystery to solve, the culprit was found by using chromatography.
The Book Bus
Year 5 enjoyed the visit of The Book Bus. Some of the children were lucky enough to buy their own books to take home.
Spain
As part of their topic on Spain, Year 5 enjoyed making and tasting Spanish food.
Comic Relief
The children enjoyed wearing their own clothes and red noses in order to raise money for Comic Relief.
Bikeability
Some of Year 5 have enjoyed working with staff from Bikeability to improve their cycling skills and to develop their confidence whilst cycling on local roads.
New Age Kurling and Boccia
Year 5 have enjoyed learning New Age Kurling and Boccia skills in PE this half term.
Leonardo Da Vinci Exhibition
Year 5 visited the Walker Art Gallery to see the Leonardo Da Vinci exhibition and to participate in a workshop.
The Easter Journey
Year 5 visited Bridge Chapel; they used their senses to go on an Easter Journey.
